Chief of Staff.
Reports to: Director | Senior Claims Consultant Adjuster (CEO).
Location: Hybrid – Attached to Colchester office with periodic London meetings.
Employment Type: Full-Time / Permanent.

Role Overview
The Chief of Staff will work closely with the CEO and wider leadership team to ensure the smooth and effective running of the business. This is a key strategic and operational role, suited to someone with strong organisational capabilities, commercial awareness, and exceptional discretion.
The role involves supporting senior leadership, coordinating internal initiatives, overseeing business operations, and acting as a point of continuity across teams. It is both varied and hands-on, requiring a calm and competent presence at the heart of a fast-paced consultancy environment.
Key Responsibilities
- A member of the Senior Leadership Team.
- Act as a trusted adviser and point of coordination to the CEO and other senior leadership
- Manage business planning activities, internal reporting, meeting cycles, and governance processes
- Oversee day-to-day internal operations and ensure alignment across teams and functions
- Oversee day-to-day operation of the Human Resources function. Ensuring complaince with the various company HR policies.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and people operations in coordination with functional leads
- Coordinate internal communications and act as liaison between departments and external stakeholders
- Drive execution of strategic initiatives and ensure timely delivery of key business objectives
- Prepare briefing documents, presentations, and written communications for internal and external use
- Manage administrative processes, diaries, documentation, and compliance as required
Key Skills & Experience
- Significant experience in a senior Executive Assistant, Operations, or Chief of Staff role, ideally within professional or financial services
- Demonstrable organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities calmly and efficiently
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times
- Commercially aware, with strong judgement and a pragmatic, solutions-focused approach
- Comfortable working independently in a remote-first environment while maintaining connectivity and visibility across the team
- Technologically proficient (Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, etc.)
